While frustrated farmers were looking for a low-cost replacement system, Mr. Joseph Kora, an organic farmer, took the initiative to grow shrimp in his four hectares.

 About 11 lakh shrimp were raised in his four hectares. The officials also assisted with seeds, feed, advice and personal visits.

 About 7 months later, approximately 1,800 kg of shrimp weighing about 30 g each was harvested from his four hectares.
